The latest December data from the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) shows a mixed but evolving picture. While overall backlog levels have stabilised, new build applications continue to increase, with average approval times now around 32 weeks. For remediation schemes, approval times remain longer at 43 weeks, though encouragingly approval rates have improved month on month.

These figures highlight the importance of clear, well-prepared Gateway 2 and Gateway 3 submissions to help projects progress as smoothly as possible.
