Central to the Sporting Quarter scheme is the Sports and Convention Centre, which will serve as the Bristol Flyers Basketball Team’s new home and the premier events venue in the South West. The project builds on the commercial success of the Ashton Gate Redevelopment, another project with Bristol Sport for which we provided professional services.
Adjacent to Ashton Gate, the 4,000-capacity venue is anticipated to become a ‘Sporting Quarter’ as well as a place for hosting world-class exhibitions, conferences, and live events apart from sports events.
The proposed expansion will also include the development of a hotel, office spaces, and a multi-storey car park. The project will also deliver hundreds of new homes on nearby land adjacent the newly opened Metrobus M2 route near Ashton Gate Stadium.
